Scope of works: HV Ring Main Replacement

Following our request to carry out the new HV switchgear and cable installation at the Alcatel, Greenwich site listed is the requested scope of works with all additional requested solutions.

The scope has been broken down using the Banyard schedule of rates with additional Alcatel requests also costed.

All switchgear and substation housing is to be supplied free issue. Excavation works are to be supplied by others as specified on the original Banyard schedule.

Note:- The Triplex cable is of Aluminium conductor which should be noted as the 3 core XLPE cable is of copper conductor.

All necessary main connection works have been costed at out of normal working hours.

Schneider Switchgear Install

To install the 4 panel 630A Ringmaster Extensible Switchboard:-

  • Labour
  • Lifting / Shifting
  • Earthing installation
  • Testing / Commissioning

To install the 2 SE6 630A Ringmaster Switchgear:-

  • Labour
  • Lifting / Shifting
  • Earthing installation
  • Testing / Commissioning

Intake Substation Cabling Works

As requested pricing for cable installation works at HV Intake:-

  • Supply 45 metres Triplex cable
  • Install 45 metres Triplex cable
  • Terminate 6 ends Triplex cable
  • Supply to EDF Energy 6 termination kits

The project was required due to the successful acquisition of half of the site owned by the client, resulting in the network and substations needing to be relocated.

Power Testing Ltd were engaged to provided a quotation in a competitive bid.

On successful award Power Testing Ltd assigned a project manager who attended site and surveyed the scope of works and together with regular site meetings established the objectives of the client and produced a schedule of works including detailed plans for implementation to reduce exposure to the business and site disruption.

Prior to planned outages Power Testing Ltd engineering team attended site and completed all necessary site works to ensure that works were completed efficiently during the shutdown window.

The following staff were scheduled and attended:

Power Testing Ltd completed all works as detailed within the scope of works.

The contract value not including others 86,774.51

These works were programmed and completed within six weeks.

Power Testing Ltd completed all works under PTL internal budget and profit margins and within permitted time. All quality objectives were met and no Health & Safety or Environmental incidents were recorded.
