The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, impose duties on employers and duty holders in respect of their electrical systems and electrical equipment. To prevent danger, such as electrical shock, fire and loss of life, all systems shall be maintained correctly.
A duty holder can demonstrate compliance with the regulations, in respect of their electrical installation, by having fixed wire inspection and testing carried out on their premises.
Power Testing Ltd. now carry out fixed wire inspection and testing in accordance with BS7671. We are an approved contractor with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
Not only can we provide testing and inspections, but we can also complete small installations, including testing and commissioning into service.
Fixed wire testing in accordance with BS7671 involves the testing of electrical circuits and distribution boards. The wiring of each circuit will undergo a series of tests to ensure that the wiring is safe and that the circuit is wired correctly. Each circuit’s cable and accessories, including light switches, fittings, socket outlets and supplies to other fixed plant, will be tested and inspected for any damage, deterioration or dangerous conditions.
We will be more than happy to assist you with any fixed wire inspection and testing you require and will ensure that you are fully compliant with current regulations. Our aim is to keep you, your residents and staff safe from electrical hazards.
